چکیده

The radioactive isotope Fe (T1/2 = 1.5 Myr) was present in the early solar system. It is unlikely that it was injected directly into the nascent solar system by a single, nearby supernova. It is proposed instead that it was inherited during the molecular cloud stage from several supernovae belonging to previous episodes of star formation. The expected abundance of Fe in star forming regions is estimated taking into account the stochasticity of the star-forming process, and it is showed that many molecular clouds are expected to contain Fe (and possibly Al [T1/2 = 0.74 Myr]) at a level compatible with that of the nascent solar system. Therefore, no special explanation is needed to account for our solar system’s formation. Subject headings: solar system, formation, meteors, ISM: clouds, ISM:evolution, supernovae: general

Abundance of Iron-60 in Molecular Clouds

Iron-60 is a short-lived radionuclide (SR) with half-life T 1/2 = 1.5Myr. Unlike other SRs which can also be made in the pro-toplanetary disk via irradiation of dust/gas by accelerated energetic particles [1], 60 Fe is only produced efficiently by stellar nu-cleosynthesis,. As such, 60 Fe provides important clues about the immediate stellar environment of the nascent solar system [2]. It is ext...

THE Cs-Ba CHRONOMETER AND THE ORIGIN OF EXTINCT NUCLIDES IN THE SOLAR

Introduction: A number of now extinct shortlived nuclides, with half-lives ranging from ~10 (Ca) to 10 years (Sm), were present in the early Solar System and provide constraints on chronometry, nucleosynthetic sources of early Solar System materials and provide a tool for identifying the environment where the Solar System formed (such as isolated star formation versus formation in a cluster of ...

The origin of short-lived radionuclides and the astrophysical environment of solar system formation

Based on early solar system abundances of short-lived radionuclides (SRs), such as Al (T1/2 = 0.74 Myr) and Fe (T1/2 = 1.5 Myr), it is often asserted that the Sun was born in a large stellar cluster, where a massive star contaminated the protoplanetary disk with freshly nucleosynthesized isotopes from its supernova (SN) explosion. To account for the inferred initial solar system abundances of s...

New Realities of the Enterprise Management System Information Support: Economic and Mathematical Models and Cloud Technologies

The paper focuses on the urgency of the implementation of cloud technologies, which are a necessary condition for the development of enterprise management systems, give rise to a complex of insufficiently studied phenomena and processes and determine the need to find new tools in making and implementing reasonable management decisions. In the process of research, the sequence of construction an...

A Green Enrichment Method of Copper, Manganese and Nickel in Water Samples via Cloud Point Extraction

A new, cost-effective, and environmental-friendly cloud point extraction methodology was described for enrichment of copper, manganese and nickel in several water samples. The method involves the complexation of copper, manganese or nickel with 2-amino-6-(1,3-thiazol-2-diazeyl)-phenol at pH 7.0, then extraction into Triton X-114. After dilution of the surfactant-rich phase with acidified methan...
